What is the best route to Ocean City?
Ocean City is a peninsula surrounded by the entrance to the southern tip of the bay to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. Ocean City you can cross the Route 50 bridge that crosses the bridge across the Delaware Route 90 or Route 1 into force.
Arriving on the bridge carries Route 50 in the heart of the city on a 2-lane highway. Here are the typical hustle and bustle of a resort community, withBathers, Promenade and visitors on all the cars have ventured down the street.
Crossing north on Route 90 will move to 62nd Street in Ocean City. Here you will find lower-rise hotels and apartments on the sea of media, and a mixture of condominiums, low-rise hotels and commercial facilities on the bay. There is less traffic, but keep in mind that Route 90 is a one-way street with no possibility of change.
For visitors from the date of entry northOcean City is best dealt with by the way 1. Here, Ocean City in the north, the minimum amount of traffic regulations. You can find low-rise hotels and apartments on the sea and along Coastal Highway and houses and low-rise hotels and apartments on the bay, with commercial services on both sides of the coastal road.
Where do I live?
This is a trick question, without having to answer for all. Let's start with theOcean City breaks in 4 areas.
The center, my goal is to include everything from the inlet to 27 North Street. This includes the entire length of the promenade. Choose this area if it can be in the middle of the fun. Boardwalk shopping and entertainment venues are open until midnight or later during the summer season and is right at your door. Staying in this area is best for the young or young at heart. It 's ideal for families with youngfeel their children can go explore on your own. The walk is well lit and it is very difficult to be up late at night. My personal recommendation is the Hotel Monaco at 216 N Baltimore Avenue.
Center South, which for my purposes include everything from 28th Street to 84th Street. This area covers the low to mid-rise apartments and the sea and the bay with commercial food establishments Coastal Highway. They are alsofind some good deals on hotels and apartments in and around Coastal Highway. Please note that Ocean City is not far away, in many areas has to walk to the beach, not a big test. I think this area for the best combination of comfort and relaxation for most families. The Quality Inn hotel on the beach on 54th Street is suitable for families and couples and is only 1 / 2 mile from the Convention Center.
North, which for my purposesextends from 85th Street to 118th Street. This area is the same except Southcenter hi-rise hotels along the ocean to begin. From 100th to 118th Street Road, the sea is practically Hi-rises lined. For those couples and families that can be pampered with room service, sauna, etc., since this is your area. On the bay are town houses for larger families, many with private boat dock. Large families, families sharing a holiday, and sailors foundthe largest selection of apartments in this area. The Carousel Resort Hotel and the sea, on 117th Street condominiums. A bit 'of history for those new to the area: the carousel, the hotel was built before the city on the northern side of the sea, has been) built by Bobby Baker (a member of the famous ("mob." Needless to say, everything is here including a skating rink, a deli, an ice cream shop, indoor and outdoor pools, spa, room service and much more. MOREas a trip to the waterfront remained no longer reason for the complex. This is probably my favorite hotel in Ocean City, and is worth visiting even if you do not stay here.
Nord, including my purposes for everything from Road 119 to the state line at 146th Street. This area is similar to the South Centre unless it is less congested with some houses on the bay. Walk a restaurant or business is less likely in this area. For guests who like toin a quiet area but you're the 'action' that is the best choice. hotels in this area are not so close in size, but a good choice is the Fenwick Inn.
Special Recommendation, just before the entrance to Ocean City from Route 50 is the right to see the Francis Scott Key Motel on your own. The hotel is situated on 14 acres and has children (all ages) to play a lot of space. The pool is surrounded by many local families in low season for birthday parties. There are many shops in the area and also has its own restaurant and bar is not necessary to Ocean City, a free shuttle service during the season, every hour from 10.00 bis 10.00 clock drive is available.
As you can see there is something for almost everyone in Ocean City. I do not think that you are unhappy with any of the areas, but offer this guide as an overview of what each offers an environment for the guests are not familiar with Ocean City.
